Evermind

Evermind monitors a senior’s daily activity by observing usage of any 3 electrical appliances, e.g., a microwave, television, or lamp. The power sensors connect in-line with home appliances; the sensors use a wireless network to alert each other when an appliance is switched on or off. One of the sensors has a cell modem that tells the Evermind server of appliance activity. A scheduling interface helps to track usage and can send the caregiver an email or a text message.

Kiwi is the easiest, most elegant way to see and share the world through video.

Jamplify

Jamplify is a social marketing platform that turns fans into active promoters of online content. With Jamplify, a digital content creator, such as an online retailer or recording artist, can crowdsource their promotion by rewarding their fans based on the amount of traffic each fan drives to a content release. Jamplify combines the fan-engagement of Kickstarter and the game dynamics of Foursquare to incentivize fans to get the word out and compete to drive traffic to a content release.

New Found Solutions

The Sponsored Programs Administration and Research Compliance System (“mySPARCs”) was developed out of necessity by New Found Solutions President, Susan Newbill, through her work with The University of Tennessee at Martin. When the system was demonstrated at national conferences it became obvious that educational institutions throughout the US had similar data management needs for grant administration and federal research compliance issues. New Found Solutions was formed for the purpose of commercializing mySPARCs.

Mobile Campaign

Mobile Campaign’s mission is to bring the power of SMS – the most popular non-voice medium on the planet – to small business brands. The initial product provides text message-based tools for retailers, taking their #1business generator and mobilizing it with a text messaging front end and a business intelligence backend. Mobile Campaign was founded by Matthew Fisher who has more than 15 years startup experience in both the software and telecom sectors including with NeuStar, the exclusive registrar of mobile common short codes for CTIA and the US wireless carriers.

NextGxDx

Today, physicians can utilize genetic tests to diagnose over 2,000 diseases. Proper diagnosis leads to more effective treatment and improved clinical outcomes. However, most physicians are not trained in genetics, and have little understanding of how to utilize these tests.

NextGxDx is filling this gap with the creation of a one-stop, web-based marketplace that physicians can utilize as resource for all their genetic testing needs. Through this tool, we will improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the market between physicians and genetic reference labs.

SourceYourCity

Improving upon best practices from Help A Reporter Out, SourceYourCity is a virtual community connecting local reporters with local experts to enhance the quality of local news through confidential news sourcing in real-time. What differentiates a news story from a blog? A source. So all reporters must adequately source their story before they can go to print.

By enabling reporters to post confidential source requests to find the best source in real-time, SourceYourCity caters to three unique user-types—reporters, experts and PR professionals. After posting to the site, these requests are instantly emailed to a mix of local experts and communications professionals who’ve all opted into this service for the sole purpose of helping reporters source their stories faster.

splitsecnd is the only user-installable, after-market automatic crash notification (ACN) system for automobiles and is compatible with all 254 million vehicles on the road today.
