“Once You’re Out of Here, You’re Swimming with the Sharks.”
This was Mr. Greenhill’s opening line to the teams when he spoke on Tuesday. LeShane started Sagents, a cloud-based marketplace that introduces suppliers and buyers. “Think Match.com,” he says, “but for small, medium and large businesses.”
The teams quickly perked up to Mr. Greenhill’s advice because not long ago, Sagents shared office space with them at the Entrepreneur Center. As part of a pre-JSF accelerator program, Sagents completed its incubation and entered the market in May.
“You guys are coming out of Jumpstart, you all have an MVP… But you’ll need to shift focus to sales and funding.”
Despite his cautionary words about the real world outside of the Entrepreneur Center, LeShane was impressed by the progress of the 2012 cohort.
“I’ll see you guys next week, I’ll be out there cheering you on!”
